In Westfield massachusetts last week, a boy shot himself with an uzi submachine gun at a gun show. The boy had practiced shooting beforehand. The boy was shooting and the tip of the gun backfired and the boy recieved a round into his head and died. The father and his older brother were both there and the dad was supporting him from behind when it happened. Even though it appeared to be an accident, police and officals still investigated. It is legal in massachusetts for children to fire weapons under the supervision of an adult. How old is the boy who died?

Two People Injured in Crash

In Richmond two people were injured when a 63 year old woman from Barre lost control of her car. She was driving north on Tuesday morning. Vermont State Police said that Doris Frigon's 1997 Chevrolet crossed the median and slammed into an electronic supply truck. The truck ended up on its left side in the median. Doris Frigon was extricated from her car by the fire department and taken to the Fletcher Allen health Care. A spokeswoman from Fletcher Allen says that Doris Frigon was evaluated in the emergency room. Investigators are still investigating this accident. When Doris Frigon was driving north, what inerstate was she driving on?

Maria Current Events - 10-17-08

On the 2008 electoral vote map it shows that McCain is leading in being the favorite. Half of the country is voting for him. The South West and areas around Texas, Alaska, North and South Carolina, Idaho and Arizona all are leading for McCain. Only 8 states are leading for Obama and 17 states are up for grabs. A lot of people vote, but not enough. Some people register to vote yet don’t go down to the polls to vote. Older people tend to usually vote more. Back in time, George Washington had given the Superintendent of finance, during the revolutionary war, with saving our Continental Army from a financial crisis. Before the man took over, it took a lot of money to buy supplies for the war. By taking money from his own funds, France and The Netherlands, he made it possible to pay the soldiers and to buy supplies for the war. The Slave Issue

The slave issue was about African American and if they should be counted as people or not. It was mostly North vs. South. The Northern delegates argued that African American slaves should not be counted as people but will still pay taxes. The Southern delegates argued that African Americans should be counted as people because they do most of the harvesting and planting for the Southern citizens. My question is, how many African Americans were working in America?
